I would like to introduce myself as the new owner and manager of the Old Foundry Chapel. I know that by making this investment I am taking on a huge responsibility to this wonderful historic building, the businesses within and the wider community in Hayle.
As a local girl, brought up in Carnhell Green, Praze and Carbis Bay, I am aware of the challenges facing the community with big businesses moving in and the pressures of housing, but since opening my first shop in the building in 2011, I have always felt that this building offered something very special, but it also needed to move forward and improve as our customers expectations and needs change with time.
Over time, you will see change, investment and improvement, some of which will be challenging, but I can assure you that this is all to ensure that this fantastic place can continue as a unique place to visit, full of interesting places to browse, shop, eat and pamper yourself.
I am delighted that the significant majority of traders, existing customers and community members are backing me. I am just hoping that by this time next year many, many more customers will have experienced our wonderful building and all it has to offer. I believe, through working together, we can put it on the map as one of the “must see” places in Hayle and West Cornwall.
